The Prophecy of Guts and Glory

When the end has come and went.

When kith and kin are spent.

When darkness rules with secret tools, and the sky is endless fire.

Then will Guts and Glory come, from a place beyond the mire.

He with mighty fearlessness, she with warmth and wisdom.

Their sacrifice shall be the price for our forever freedom.

Book 1 ~ Dr. Fixit’s Malicious Machine

“He’s found us!” That’s not what eleven-year-old Trevor Tate expects his mom to say when she gets his third suspension notice in three months. He doesn’t expect a robotic tentacle to shoot out of the bathtub and drag her through an otherworldly portal, either.

Now to rescue Mom, Trevor must follow her to Nil – a world of giant bugs, monstrous machines and a disturbing lack of working toilets. Then there are the Dark Crows, an army of superkids who think Trevor is a legendary champion sent to save them from the tyrannical teens. To Trevor, whose short temper has always branded him a bully, the idea that he could be anyone’s knight in shining armor is a pipe-dream. But while rescuing Mom, he uncovers a secret about his past that will forever tip the balance between the villain he was, and the hero he was meant to be.

Eleven-year-old Tabitha Tate was happy on Earth. She had friends there, a home, and a bright future as a brilliant scientist.

Then it all went down the bathtub drain.

Now Tab is in a different world, full of giant bugs, monstrous machines, and some crazy Dr. Fixit guy who REALLY doesn’t like her. Where does she fit in now, among a group of superKids who are way tougher and smarter than she could ever hope to be? Tab has a lot to think about as she follows her heroic brother and superKid friends into the zombie-chocked swamps of Noc in search of Dr. Fixit’s mysterious partner — the only one who can reverse the Malicious Machine and wake up the Teens. But when her friends start acting disturbingly zombie-like, she finds that she’s the only one left to save the day.

Does Tabitha Tate of Earth have what it takes to finally earn her name and take her rightful place as Glory: Heroine of Nil?
